Learn about our history, mission, vision, and the dedicated team behind our 30-year legacy of excellence.
Collège de Bethel was founded in 1995 by the Association des Parents Adventistes de Ruhango pour le Développement de l’Éducation (APARUDE). The association was created by committed parents in Ruhango who sought to respond to the severe educational crisis that followed the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.
During that tragic period, schools were destroyed, property was looted, and many teachers were killed or forced to flee the country. The education system faced enormous challenges. In response, parents in Ruhango took a patriotic and courageous step to support the rebuilding of the nation through education.
They believed that quality education especially practical and technical training was essential to empowering young people and rebuilding society.
The school mission is to be a leading school in the provision of technical and professional courses as well as general secondary level education in the region.
The school vision is to bring fourth young people who have acquired practical life skills that enable them to be job creators, grounded in Christian values and self reliant in the society.
